Deleting your Cante account
You can delete your account yourself, in the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. It is the quickest way and needs nothing from us.
If you no longer have the app
— you changed phones, lost the device, or deleted the app before remembering the account — write to us at contact@sakac.tech from the address you signed in with, and put Account deletion in the subject line.
We handle the request within 30 days, usually the same day.
What is deleted
- Your profile, questionnaire answers, languages and location.
- All photos and voice recordings — the files themselves, not just the records of them.
- The letters you wrote.
- The verification selfie — it was deleted anyway the moment a moderator decided.
What stays, and why
If someone reported your behaviour, the record of the report stays — but without your name or address, only with a one-way fingerprint that shows us repetition and tells nobody who you were. The right to be forgotten does not cancel the duty to keep other people safe (Art. 17(3) GDPR).
Letters another person wrote to you stay with them. A conversation belongs to two people, and your leaving is not their consent to erase it.
The deadline
After the request you have 14 days to change your mind — the app works normally in that time and nothing is deleted. After that, it cannot be undone.
