These terms are the agreement between you and Cante. By creating an account you accept them, together with the privacy policy.
Who we are
Cante is run by Sebastijan Sakač, Croatia. Contact: contact@sakac.tech.
Who can use Cante
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You have one account, and it is yours: a real person, confirmed by a selfie that a moderator checks.
- Your account has not been banned before.
How it works
People join a generation and are paired in rounds. A match goes through four phases — voice, face, letters and meeting — and letters are delivered at fixed times of day. You have one match at a time. Either of you can end it at any time, with a short goodbye rather than in silence. We cannot promise a match; if there is none for you in a round, you are in the next one.
House rules
- Nobody disappears: if you want to end a match, you write a goodbye.
- Contact details — phone numbers, handles, links — stay out of letters until the fourth phase, and are held back if they appear earlier.
- No harassment, threats or hate; no sexual content the other person did not ask for; no asking for money or gifts; no pretending to be someone else; no spam or advertising; nothing illegal.
Your content
What you write, record and upload stays yours. You allow us to store it and deliver it to the person you are matched with, only to run Cante. You are responsible for what you send and confirm that you have the right to share it.
Safety
Meet in a public place the first time, and tell someone where you are going. Cante confirms that people are real, but does not run background checks and cannot guarantee how anyone behaves. If you are in danger, call 112.
Reports and moderation
You can report anything that breaks these terms from the match menu, and you can block the person there too — blocking takes no report and no reason. A report pauses delivery between you straight away, and a moderator looks at it, usually within 24 hours. A moderator can dismiss a report, close the match, or suspend or ban an account. Moderators decide from the report and the account, never from your letters, and every decision is made by a person rather than by an automated system.
If we restrict your account we write to you with what was decided and why, and you can object by replying — a different moderator then looks again. We never tell you who reported you or what they wrote. contact@sakac.tech is our contact point, for the people who use Cante and for authorities.
Ending and deleting
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete my account) or without it. Deletion waits 14 days so you can change your mind. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
The service
Cante is free. We may change, add or remove features, and we do our best to keep it running, but cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for how other people behave, on Cante or when you meet, or for indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or your rights as a consumer.
Law
These terms are governed by Croatian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you can bring a dispute before the courts there.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we tell you in the app before the change takes effect. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.
